Hey foodies! Just a quick post tonight on the eve of Easter. It was a beautiful sunny day here in Fairfield County and we finally broke out the grill! Just wanted to share some tips for my favorite anytime dish for those warm, grilling nights…Mixed Grilled Vegetables with Olive Oil, Salt, and Pepper.
Grilled vegetables are a great way to add a fresh feature to any meal and utilize the few short grilling months we have here in the east. Here are few of my tips to do them right.
Season Slightly A little EVOO a sprinkle of salt, pepper, and garlic is all you need for tasty grillers!
Char is your Friend Really! It’s not burnt, it’s flavored 🙂
Spice it up with Sauce I love serving grilled veggies with a mix of different side sauces (think pestos, balsamics, or caesar) for dipping and perhaps a choice of cheeses too?
Grill Extra These make for a great addition to omelets, sandwiches, or as salad toppers the next day!
This is a great meal starter, and one you don’t have to feel guilty about going back for seconds for. And when in doubt…serve with a burger. What could be a more classic griller than that?!
