Welcome readers! As a newbie to the blogging scene, I feel as though I should precede this initial post with some admissions. Admission #1, I have no idea what I’m doing! So please, bare with me as I attempt to navigate the many divergent paths this site may take and somehow pull them all together. I have always had a love for everything food. Eating food, cooking food, food shopping, reading cookbooks, food magazines, countless hours of Food Network, the list is endless…I hope this site will pay homage to that in as many ways as I can. Recipes, restaurant reviews, techniques from the kitchen, and an occasional candid look inside the food industry (10 years waitressing/bartending gets you some stories, I assure you)!
Admission #2, I’m pregnant. Yes, full fledged cravings-all-the-time-can’t-eat-enough-but-trying-to-avoid-looking-like-I’m-carrying-quadruplets pregnant. This in many fortunate and unfortunate ways has changed my eating habits for the next nine months (flash to the lack of my favorite yellow fin tuna sushi and a strong affinity for anything sweet!) including reintroducing meat into my diet after a year of vegetarianism.
Last admission, I am not a professional, I have not been formally trained, and we certainly do not eat gourmet meals in my house every night. My relationship with food has always been a unique experience and I hope to share the intimate details with you. So, as you read, grab a bite, a glass of wine, and keep in mind, I’m just a local foodetarian 🙂
